Common Questions

Straight answers to what we get asked most. If yours isn't here, call and ask.

How much does security camera installation cost in Summerville?

Most residential camera systems we install land between roughly $1,200 and $4,000 depending on camera count, whether we are running new cable, and how much storage you need. Commercial jobs vary far more widely. We quote after an on-site assessment so the number you get is the number you pay, and the assessment is free.

How many security cameras does my property need?

For a typical single-family home, four to six cameras covers the front door, driveway, back door, and yard approaches. What actually matters more than count is placement, mounting height, and lens choice. We walk the property and map coverage before quoting rather than selling a fixed package.

Do you install Starlink, and is it worth it around here?

Yes. Starlink makes the most sense in the rural parts of Berkeley and Dorchester counties where fiber has not reached and the cable options are slow or unreliable. We handle the mount, alignment, cable routing, weatherproofing, and integration with your existing router and network.

Can you work with cameras or equipment I already own?

Usually. We regularly integrate existing IP cameras with new recorders over ONVIF, reuse serviceable cabling, and expand systems rather than replace them. If existing gear is not worth keeping we will tell you plainly and explain why.

What areas do you serve?

Summerville, Ladson, Goose Creek, Moncks Corner, Hanahan, North Charleston, and Charleston, covering Dorchester, Berkeley, and Charleston counties. If you are just outside that, call and ask.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry the required South Carolina licensing and liability insurance for the low-voltage and alarm work we perform, and we are happy to provide documentation before any job begins.
